I need a quick answer to study with because i have a golf test tomorrow. i am a junior golfer and i need help!

1. In all cases, you have the option of stroke and distance. You can rehit from where you hit your last shot.

2. If there is a drop area, you can drop there.

If you don't want to use stroke and distance and there is no drop area, then you have to find the spot where the ball last crossed the margin of the hazard. I'll call it 'A'

3. For yellow or red stakes, think of a line that starts at the flag and goes through the spot 'A'. Go back on that line as far back as you want and drop.

4. For red stakes, you can drop within two club lengths of spot 'A', but not closer to the hole than 'A'.

5. For red stakes, you can also go to the other side of the hazard, at a spot that is the same distance from the hole as 'A' and drop within two club lengths of that spot.

Water--drop ball where it entered hazard no closer to hold

Lateral--drop two club lengths no closer to hole.
